I am desp trying to plan a new kitchen, going to part with my old range cooker. Was going to go for a free standing gas cooker but diff fitters etc are telling me I should have a separate hob with a an oven underneath. I know they look good, but I am a serious cook and have only ever cooked with gas. Love to know what you have and how you get on with it, gas or electric must have 2 ovens. Thanks

why have under the counter - get a high unit and put it next to the hob ... see picture on my profile :-)

I am not sure it would work in my small space talkinpeace, you have a lovely size kitchen Envy, mine is u shape and its proving very difficult because of appliances. Its only 10ft x 8ft.

I feel your pain. We are kitchen planning just now but having issues :( I agree that an eye level one would be good. You gain storage space which would be useful I'm sure.

We have an aeg under counter cooker. It has two ovens. Very pleased with it, only thing is that the two ovens are both quite small - the lower oven in a freestanding cooker is a bit bigger.

Could you incorporate the range into your kitchen? Seems a shame to lose it if you are cooking a lot.

The range is still a possibility Fluffy its just the cost of them, mine could be restored but its green and looking very tatty. I need to make my mind up soon!
