Hi, does anyone have a tried and tested one for daily, weekly, monthly chores that I could copy please? Wondering if there is a more organised way to go about things than mine! Many thanks x

I don't but you could try FLY lady.

I second flylady - she has a book and a website with lots of daily routines and rotating tasks for different zones in the house. In fact I should really start using her system again..........

I saw someone on here recommend Martha stewart lists - had a vague look so can't say if useful but worth a look

I have an Excel file, but it's in French! (I made it for my husband, so he didn't need to keep asking what needed doing Wink)

Basically, this is our routine:

Daily:
Clean kitchen sink
Clean toilet
Clean wash basins in both bathrooms
Sweep kitchen floor
Run dishwasher
Run washing machine overnight then switch into dryer in the morning (I have a schedule for which laundry on which day!)

Twice a week (Wednesday + weekend):
Kitchen worktops
Tidy kids' rooms
Ironing

Once weekly (weekend, room by room):
Dust units
General tidying
Vacuum whole appartment
Bathrooms + WC thorough cleaning
Mop floors
Polish shoes (on Sunday nights, ready for the new week)

Each month:
One room deep-cleaned (i.e. pull out furniture, clean out cupboards etc.)

I'm not at all houseproud and this doesn't come naturally to me, which is why I needed a plan. But honestly, we've been sticking to this routine for around 5 years now and the house basically runs itself and doesn't demand much mental effort at all!

There's one in my Austerity Housekeeping book, and a free version on the blog.
