Just one of my periodic reminders that the Austerity Housekeeping eBook will be free again to download from Amazon from about lunchtime on 2 November for 24 hours. You can read it on Kindle, iPhone, iPod and PC if you download a free reader app.

I am about to produce a second edition, which I am hoping to bring out on 1st January, so now is a good time to let me know if there are any mistakes, corrections, or ideas for things to be covered, to refresh the book a bit. By the way, some people have said that the weekly menu grids come out a bit blurry on some devices so if you have that problem, PM me and I will send you them in PDF form so you can print them off.

For everyone on MN who has been so brilliant in commenting and giving advice about the book, and indeed the Austerity Housekeeping blog, many thanks once again to all of you, and I am very grateful that you all shared the MN luff.

I downloaded this while in a pregnancy induced bout of nesting and it is brilliant!! Everyone should download it.

I am a pedantic lawyer and did clock a couple of tiny typos last time which I'm sure you have corrected - I'll see if I can find them again. It's a good excuse to go back and reread the whole book Grin

Thank you - I am keeping a list. It's hard to spot them when it's your own book and you've read it millions of times.

Downloaded - thank you BoffinMum

Hope you enjoy it, HopeClearwater. Grin

Will wrestle my klindle off DD and download it. Are you allowed to link your blog?

CircassianLeyla · 03/11/2013 11:29

It was £2.99 just now - but I bought it anyway - need all the help I can get.

Or maybe I got the wrong one?

ChippyMinton · 03/11/2013 15:54

Still £2.99

The promotion runs on US time in a kind of random 'when they feel like it' way, in this case it seems from about late morning on 2nd November to late morning today. Sorry you missed it - I will post again next time a promotion is happening. So many MNetters helped with the book, I think they should always have first dibs when there's free copies around. Wink

BTW I am allowed to link my blog as I am an official MN blogger. Here you go. Today's post is all about getting ready for the week ahead. I am setting an example by organising myself seven outfits all in order for next week (not Wink).

BoffinMum I have started reading it today. I have lots of storage space but not of it is used efficiently hence why I am always on the run. I am inspired to get it all sorted and then implement the ideas.

BoffinMum · 03/11/2013 17:14

That is great! Remember to group like objects with like, and keep them where you use them, so you have a box or drawer for hats, scarfs, gloves and so on near the front door, an area with things you need for the hoover near where you vacuum most often (attachments, spare bags, deodoriser), an area for things that need mending with all the sewing things nearby kept near the washing machine, an area for things for the car in winter such as blankets, snow shovels and de-icer kept near the front door or front of the garage; that kind of thing (you get my drift?)

I hope for a new me.

BoffinMum · 03/11/2013 17:45

A good starting point is to make lists of what you need for different activities. How old are your DCs?

Marking place missed promotion but thanks for the blog link Smile

BoffinMum · 05/11/2013 22:34

Yes, you don't have to buy the book - most stuff is free on the blog anyway. Wink
