So, I have this week had a new hoover 8kg drum washer installed, bought specifically for the 8kg drum as I ruined the bearings on my 5.5 kg zanussi by overloading it apparently! Anyway on reading the instructions a full wash load on any temperature takes 3-3.5 hours!!! To do a quicker daily wash of 30-60 mins it will only take 3.5 kg of washing, my question is will it break if I overload a daily cycle or have I purchased a bit of a turkey?! 3.5 hours is a looong time,no? Or is it just me?

I suspect you may have purchased a bit of a turkey but it might be worth contacting Hoover to ask them the question about overloading the daily wash cycle.

I think the new AAA appliances take a lot longer to complete washing cycles but 3.5 hours would be excessive for most people.

By the way, another poster has had multiple issues with her Hoover washing machine (spinning issues)...

Good luck!
