I've got some fairly new hiking boots but unfortunately after daily use earlier this year, they don't smell great inside?

Scented Insoles?

I've already trying washing in machine, cloth cleaning & adding drops of essential oil. Nothing has worked!!

Thanks in advance :-)

argh! Don't wash them!

sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda and leave inside for a while.

in future, air properly after use, but especially if they have waterproof linings, they will get smelly. That's exercise for you.

Agree with using bicarb, but needs to be brushed out really well afterwards. All my boots have a thin, washable insole too, partly for comfort but it does help with hygiene.

Oh. Now they're still wet from my inside washing attempt ;-)

So I just need to wait for them to dry and sprinkle bicarb? How much? (V new to this concept!)

a teaspoon at most. Meantime stuff them with newspaper and put them near a radiator to try and get them drier quicker.

Thanks special :-) I'm on to it!
