Cleaning scuzzy electric toothbrush?

Hopefully someone will come along with a fantastic tip. How do I clean all the horrid scuzz from my electric toothbrush? It's all horrid and blackened around the base, no amount of scrubbing cleans it off. Is there a bicarb or soda trick or something that will magic it clean again? I can't very well bleach it or submerge it.

Tips gratefully received!

Is it a sonicare one? Mine and dh's have gone the same and no amount of scrubbing, bleaching, submerging or bicarb will lift it :-( they look awful

I clean mine with a baby wipe. Seems to do the trick

Yep, sonicare. It looks vile!

No advice but I am so glad that I'm not the only one with a dirty looking toothbrush bottom Grin

I use a normal toothbrush to clean the electric toothbrushes....they come up like new if done regularly.

Magic sponge. It'll clean anything!

I clean mine with a microfibre cloth and that stardrops that has ammonia in. Works really well.

I put mine upside down into a mug with warm water and a denture tablet and leave for a couple of hours.
