Wood, unless you want your living room to look a bit clinical..

zippitippitoes · 05/07/2006 12:40

..ah

I originally thought wood but had changed my mind to white!

neither I'd go for a high gloss finish in cream or grey. /link{http://www.baltic-kitchens.co.uk/products.html\gorgeous ones here}

or even here

We have a very large 'living kitchen', and the kitchen units, including central island, are finished in a mixture of white and a dark wood effect - both gloss - with brushed aluminium details. It does look super. We have deep red highlights around, and whilst it's a minimalist feel, it's not cold.

It depends really what you like, but this does work.

Thank you for the replies.
I like the Baltic kitchens but they look too expensive..have you had a kitchen from them for an idea of price? I'm not sure if ours is big enough to take a mixture like Fairjay's(sounds fantastic)

I don't have to decide for a while as we are a way off yet..
