Decorating - Is Jasmine White a good idea?

Anyone decorated in Jasmine White from Dulux?

Lots of the house magazines recommend it and I'm trying to create a clean, New England effect in a bedroom and a bright light kitchen.

I just don't want it to appear too stark and clinical, so any first hand experience of it would be appreciated.

Jasmine White?

Wasnt she in Hollyoaks?

expatinscotland · 04/07/2006 12:02

as long as it's that wipe clean matt stuff.

Babyannabell · 04/07/2006 12:03

Yes, we use it for ceilings - it's a really nice soft white but not a bluish white, I think it would be just what you want.

We have used it but did not get the wipe clean stuff so I am having to repaint. Should be ok if it is wipable,

SoMuchToBits · 04/07/2006 12:22

Yes, yes, yes!

Wehave decorated our living room and dining room in it. It is lovely and light and airy, but not too stark. I love it so much to bits. We have had the colour for seven years now and I still wouldn't change it.

We used Dulux Magnolia on the walls, which is a warm white, with Jasmine White satin on woodwork, which is just slightly brighter than magnolia and gave a nice 'highlight'.

Dulux washable emulsion is really easy to wipe stuff of too.

BTW, I don't like Crown Magnolia, which is a much more 'buttery' colour.

OOOh, this is sounding good. Positive responses. Thank you. I am so fed up with different tester pots that I was hoping I could stick with the one I'd thought I'd settled on.

Jasmine White it is!
