Put salt in the filter by mistake

I have had my new dishwasher for about 3 months. When I first got it I poured salt into the filter by mistake and filled with water. I then realised my mistake and bailed as much as I could. The dishwasher has always had a small amount of water in the filter area ever since (that was its first use). I have ran it on hot a couple of times and cleaned the filter several times but no luck.

The dishes are always clean. My problem is do I get someone to look at it under the guarantee - it is possible the dishwasher isn't draining correctly because it was incorrectly installed and that the salt is beside the point. If it is blocked with salt though they might charge me for the call out? Should I try unscrewing it myslef to unblock as in the you tube videos?

Thanks for any advice.

I am sure there is normally some water under my dishwasher filter too.

it is normal. The salt will be washed away by the water by now.
