two steam cleaner questions

I'm loving my new steam cleaner, but
A) what happens to all the greasy dirt? There's a small residue of mucky water, but is that where all the dirt goes? Or am I breathing it in with the steam.
B) so far, I've use the little brush on tiles, worktops, oven and floor. Is it OK to use the same little brush on kitchen surfaces again?

No idea but what sort of steam cleaner have you got?

My oven is filthy and I hate chemicals.
