how to dust the damn wooden blinds?

anything I use doesn't work, it's like the dust is stuck to the top of the wood.... anyone got any tips?

i close them one way and while the slats are flat i wipe them down so i dont have to get in the grooves and then i do them the other way, when i am cleaning them intensively (very rare) i take them down and wash them in the shower x
