100% cotton lined curtains. Not dyed or patterned. Very plain cream hoop top curtains in need of brightening up.

They say dry clean only.

Can I machine wash and if so on what cycle?

Only if you can afford to replace them if it all goes wrong (eg if they shrink dramatically, go out of shape or the fabric falls apart). I'd try washing them at 20 or 30C, on the gentlest cycle that will take their weight, one at a time, if needs be, with a non-bio detergent. No fabric conditioner.

I have done this but second only do it if youcan afford to replace.
You really need a good summers day though.
I wash them on either a wool or delicate and if you can vary the spin put it to the lowest.
Ok they come out very wet but will dry lovely on the line, which you have washed with soapy water first.
I suppose you could dry on a radiator, but I would make sure it was only warm, not hot.
Definitely wouldn't put in drier.
Be it on your own head Grin
Mine have always been fiine done like this. Grin
