Are they the same thing?

Are they much better? I am thinking of getting a few because of the environment and all that.

But do you have to wash them at 60deg with no washing powder? When you have a load to justify that?

I think e cloths are just a brand of microfiber cloths. I've not used them but find the Lakeland ones very good.

Personally I just wash them with clothes at 40 degrees with usual washing powder which I think is adequate and I'm lazy . I know some people prefer to wash things like this with towels at 60 degrees, but unless you have been cleaning the loo with them or have a reduced immune system I'm not sure it's necessary.

You shouldn't wash them with fabric conditioner though as it will affect the absorbency.

I've tried ordinary microfibre and ecloths and now have loads of ecloths! I just use general cleaning cloths with a glass polishing cloth rather than loads of different types.

I wash in bio powder with no softener. If they get a bit dull looking I soak in a bucket of warm water with three table spoons of powder and soak for 24hrs.

e cloths all the way! I have tried a variety of cheapo microfibre, also mid range ones and e cloths are so much better. I wash mine at between 40-60 degree wash along with towels using non bio and no fabric conditioner (it blocks the fibres apparently). Not heard about not washing with washing powder- the e cloth website recommends wash with a small amount detergent at temp as low as 30.

The glass and polishing cloth and the standard e cloth are indispensable for my (fairly lazy) housework routine. They are often in TK Maxx near the pans.

In fact, my kitchen every day cloth is now an e cloth. It gets changed either every day or every other day (I have a fair stack of the cloths now!). The best thing I have come across for cleaning the granite worktops. Plus no need for chemicals. I also have the mop

Glad to know you can wash them with a normal load, thinking i had to have a special laundry routine for them was putting me off.

Is it that you don't need cleaning products with them , or is it that yo can't have them because of clogging the fibres or whatever?

You don't need cleaning products, they are marketed as an eco product. And you really don't need them! Even on the hob just water works fine. Not sure if it would clog them or not.
