How do you store your wrapping paper / does anyone know where I can get one of these?!

I've found similar on Amazon.com, but not with the deep tray at the bottom... has any of you seen one of these in the UK? I feel very strongly that it's the answer to all my wrapping paper problems!

I have started only buying the foldy-up kind and I keep a supply in a shoe box on top of my wardrobe with scissors, sticky tape and a pack of that <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjAwWDYwMA%3D%3D/z/hd4AAMXQTT9RvoQF/%24T2eC16JHJIQE9qUHrWCkBRvoQE8u4Q~~60_35.JPG&imgrefurl=www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-x-Metallic-Curling-Ribbon-pack-Pre-Curled-/151124272541&h=300&w=300&sz=23&tbnid=WNBDkC6aWidu_M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=90&zoom=1&usg=__aRzPBDNhyQCk3IbmKWqN0_t1JXc=&docid=aP16zlHAWWsbmM&itg=1&sa=X&ei=MdRLUrDJNoehigeR1oDIBA&ved=0CEgQ9QEwBA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ribbon

FuckyNell · 02/10/2013 09:09

I like it, although my DH would call it 'more useless tatt crap' Grin

I just keep mine in the wrapping paper carriers you get at Christmas from boots or clintons.

Or, you could just buy sheets as you need them. God we are going to get ripped for discussing this.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 02/10/2013 09:10

I keep mine in bags made of jeans legs with loo rolls holding the rolls in shape. Not sophisticated but it works ok

FuckyNell · 02/10/2013 09:14

Check this out!!

TeamJesse · 02/10/2013 09:17

I don't care, the bags of wrapping paper that fall on my feet every time I open the cupboard are driving me nuts - I want them on the floor! Don't live in UK and wrapping paper is universally rolled, not folded, here.

Thanks for the ideas! The storage bag is good.

TeamJesse · 02/10/2013 09:18

I meant, I want them off the floor, of course. Wrapping paper rage making me incoherent, sorry.

If you have the rolls of wrapping paper you can get this from Hobbycraft: box. I sell Phoenix cards and so I use the boxes that my wrapping paper comes in - if you know anyone who does this ask them for a spare box - they'll probably have lots at this time of year!

JadziaSnax · 02/10/2013 09:20

I have a long storage bag that I got from betterware. It holds the rolls really well and has a section at the top to put gift tags, scissors & sticky tape in.

Shamoy · 02/10/2013 09:20

I've got one of these
www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/rub/b22_0litre.php
Perfect size for rolls of paper plus other bits

HootShoot · 02/10/2013 09:25

We have this

I could buy an awful lot of potentially useless stuff from the website though so have to be careful when I go on it!

TeamJesse · 02/10/2013 09:25

Thanks 2madboys and Shamoy - I've tried to get that Really Useful box before, no one ships it internationally though.

CiderwithBuda · 02/10/2013 09:33

I Have a pic on my profile TeamJesse. I got all the separate bits from a uk website. Not sure if they ship internationally. It's all Elfa and the website is APlaceForEverything I think.

I love mine but it wasn't cheap. They didn't have the deep bit at the bottom on line but I called them and they did have it in stock as far as I remember.

HootShoot · 02/10/2013 09:51

That's the website I linked to cider, they have some great stuff on there.

Valentinegal · 02/10/2013 09:52

Do u have an ikea close by? I use their plastic carrier bag holder which is screwed to the side of my cupboard.

daisychicken · 02/10/2013 09:54

I have a pine blanket box that doubles as a coffee table to keep all our wrapping bits in, it holds everything and hides it all away as I have limited space!

I have seen those carrier bag holders from IKEA used to store rolls of paper and you could use hooks with dowel to create hangers? IKEA also sell baskets that hang from rails - in the kitchen section - these would work if you have a suitable place to put them?

Valentinegal · 02/10/2013 09:55

Just clicked on your link. That is very cool! I have storage envy now.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 02/10/2013 09:55

Lots of fab potential alternatives to the Mariah Carey-esque wrapping room I would really like on pinterest...but I've actually given up on that
and keep everyday birthday stuff in a drawer Shock with sellotape and scissors and stickers (so that there's no chance a tag can come off)

I do have a separate box for ribbon but I am VERY tight with my ribbon and only give it VERY special people Blush

Have xmas stuff in a box in the cellar (we don't have a loft)

TeamJesse · 02/10/2013 10:36

Cider, it looks great! Is it hanging, or did you screw it on?

And Olivia - God, wouldn't it be great to have a wrapping room. We live in an old, tall-ceilinged apartment which looks glorious but has almost no storage - definitely no loft and a musty old cellar that's already heaving. And we seem to have a drawer-deficit, I've just realised. Hmm. Pinterest has got some good ideas though - thanks; will probably spend the rest of my day slack-jawed in front of the computer now! (Nothing new, tbh).

CiderwithBuda · 02/10/2013 14:06

TeamJesse - it's screwed on but doesn't have to be. You can buy brackets that hang over the door but they didn't work on our door so DH screwed it on. I love it. When the rest of my house is a mess I open that open that door and give a happy sigh!

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 02/10/2013 14:36

I too would like a wrapping room
Isn't it the spelling family who famously had a wrapping room (they probably had a rapping room too)

Instead I'm thinking I might replace my jeans legs with that bag one posted above.

buildingmycorestrength · 02/10/2013 14:57

TeamJesse I saw that really useful gift wrap box in Hobbycraft in the UK the other day. It is here, honest.

TeamJesse · 02/10/2013 17:17

Thanks, but I'm not in the UK!

FIL bought me a gift wrap storage bag, similar to this

Rolls of paper are velcroed in one side and there are storage compartments fr bows/ribbons/tape etc on the other. I store mine upright in the back of a wardrobe. It's such a handy go-to item for when I'm in a hurry and I always wrap in a hurry.

elfycat · 02/10/2013 17:36

I see someone else posted that link. I missed it on the first read through. I second it as a great item!
