Wire basket in sink

Hi,

How I clean the wire basket that sits in my ceramic sink? Obviously I give it a good scrub with a scourer but at the points where the metal crosses over it's gone a bit black. Can I sit it in a water/bleach solution? If so, what ratio if water to bleach? It has little rubber feet to keep the wire off the sink so I don't know if they will be damaged by bleach.

scrub it with a nylon brush next time. Or put it in the dishwsher (without feet)

I am anxious about harsh chemicals that may cause corrosion.
