I have floor length curtains in my living room there a little bit too long so they just sit in a mess on the floor. What can i use instead of tiebacks?

You can get the knobs the go on the wall and the curtains just hook behind them. Is that what you mean?

They are called holdbacks.
Either knobs or metal things

Yes i have been looking at them, do the curtains hang nice on them? Where abouts would i put them? Close to the actual window? I need something to make the curtains look nice as my nana is promising me some of her famous padded plaited tiebacks!! Shock

Yes, we have them in DS's room. They are quite nice actually.

You say the curtains are a bit too long.

If it was me, I would drill a new series of holes for the curtain pole or rail slightly above its current position. Then the distance from rail to floor will be greater and they will not be too long.

Or you could have them cleaned, and they will shrink.
