Ikea Pegs :(

UnicornsNotRiddenByGrownUps · 26/09/2013 07:31

After reading one of the (mental) threads on here about having matching pegs... I bought some nice, all the same colour, matching pegs when in Ikea recently. I bought three packets which amount to 150 pegs, my peg bag over runeth....

But they are all shit.. All of then! My washing slides about and falls off the line. I live in a fairly windy area and the silly pegs just can't be left unsupervised.

Am I missing something?

How odd I love my ikea pegs.

you need www.homehardwaredirect.co.uk/productinfo.asp?ProductID=8911 if you don't want things to move, amazing pegs (I got mine in a pound shop). However, you will have to buy many many packets and dispose of any in the 'wrong' colour if you want them all to match!

Then some supermarket/normal ones or if you are really posh 'soft grip' ones for delicate items.

Honestly? Matching pegs? Confused

UnicornsNotRiddenByGrownUps · 26/09/2013 16:21

I don't need matching pegs. I just wanted new ones and ikea sell them all in one colour!

There was a thread on here a few months back about people who match the pegs to the colour of their clothes so purple top would need purple pegs Shock

My poor ikea ones are just crap!! Can't open that link but will do when I'm on the laptop instead of my phone!

These pegs from Lakeland are the best, not cheap but they are brilliant.

I bought their cheapest ones (transparent blue - cheaper than chips) for our self-catering holiday and they were fine, nothing escaped their grip. No gales though, so they weren't tested in extreme conditions.

UnicornsNotRiddenByGrownUps · 26/09/2013 16:50

It's their Pressa ones and it was like a pound for 50. Thought i was getting a good old ikea bargain! Bought 150 Hmm

I think its Lakeland for me now!! Ridiculous.

Oh yes those are the ones I have, they are fab. I think you have duff ones!

Monkeyandanimal · 28/09/2013 07:40

My dark grey ikea ones are fine for holding the washing on the line but they fall off when clipped on the line by themselves (Don't use a peg bag, usually just repeg them on line). They now all over the lawn getting mowed over.
