I've had 2 and was so disappointed I've sent them both back. I've chalked it up to 'things MN rave about but are actually shit.'Wink

Pagwatch · 21/09/2013 10:49

I am going to buy one but none of the threads tell you anything.

ggirl · 21/09/2013 10:50

My cleaner has asked me to consider buying one cos my floors would look much better and she fonds it hard to get them all done in the time with my shit mop.

I really, really want one. I've read all the threads. I'm still mop-less and clueless.

They are such a fab idea. I bought a cheap one, and it's rubbish - not because it didn't clean well, but because the mop pads don't stay on.

But I don't have mucky dogs coming in and out

Pagwatch · 21/09/2013 13:38

LordElpuss

I have a vax carpet cleaner which is very good on upholstery .

I also have dogs who won't get off the sofa Grin

viperslast · 21/09/2013 15:04

I have the bissell 2 in 1. Don't bother with cheap ones. Mine copes with doggy paws etc. If you have a stubborn looking mark spare it with cleaner then steam mop. Gets everything up.

I use mine on mattresses for dust mites but not used it on a sofa as we have leather. Tbh I would recommend a rug doctor for that job as they are excellent.

ggirl · 21/09/2013 16:18

Valium-I already have a lakeland smart mop ! She wants a steam mop.

I'm not that impressed with smart mop tbh.

Essexgirlupnorth · 21/09/2013 16:29

I wanted a steam mop but read all the reviews on which an put myself off to be honest.
None scored over 60% and there were lots if reviews from users saying they hadn't lasted very long in regular use.

CMP69 · 21/09/2013 18:18

I have an H2O X5 and I love it. often gets slated but its the best £70 I have spent Grin

LindySfarne · 21/09/2013 18:35

I have a Montiss and much prefer it to mopping the floor. The pad is a very satisfying grey colour by the end.

Admittedly I don't have young children or pets so not sure if it would cope with heavy soiling but for a light clean up I love it.

ggirl · 22/09/2013 18:07

thans everyone, ended up buying this lakeland one
their lifetime guarantee is what swayed me as I think they're all much the same
