paint stain on carpet

this must be the day for stains-- so paint spilled on the cream carpet, and dh tried to wipe it up- making it worse in process- any ideas???

Have you tried white spirit ??

Test on inconspicuous bit first though just in case.

emulsion should wash off with water and wul.

gloss needs white spirit.
