I've just washed a brand new silk dress in the washer & it's come out the same size but it feels like crepe paper..... does anyone know if there is a way to rectify it?

thanks

Iron it. It'll be fine. I always wash silk. It's just crinkly.

Yes I always wash a silk top of mine rather than dry clean. Iron it with a bit of water spray and should be fine

A Dry Cleaner once told me that generally any natural fibre should be fine to wash as long as not too hot.

thanks ladies, I'll give it a go!!!!

Silk should be damp when ironed, so do use the water spray!

OP I need to give you Cake and Wine as your thread just reminded me to get something out of the machine 'express wash & dry' before the dry cycle started - or I'd have had a doll's size top to wear to a wedding tomorrow Grin

I'm preggers so can't take the wine but I'll deffo have the cake, thanks Grin
