Using a wool duvet as a mattress topper?

hi all

Is this a feasible/good option?

I'm looking at a wool topper but it's v expensive & there's a decent wool duvet that's on offer & costs less.

Anyone done this & have any advice? I've not used wool duvets before-have pure down which I love but heard good things about wool....

Cheers

Evelyn

the only snag I can think of is that the topper is much thicker and plumper than the duvet thus the duvet won't provide much in the way of sumptuousness!

Aha, thanks for that-may not be an issue as there's already a foam top on the mattress so don't need much more softness. May need to find a shop that stocks them so I can see the difference without buying blind

Thanks now

OP, have you checked Duvet and Pillow Warehouse? Their goods are cheap and the quality is excellent. They also have an offer on today.

(Sorry, as I am exactly answering your question...)

Meant 'am not... answering'.

If you can't find a shop that stocks them, you could always try www.woolduvetstore.co.uk who seem to make a big thing about their 30 day 'no quibble' guarantee. Though obviously you would have to cough up for postage if you didn't keep it.
