Fridge smells :(

Ok, the fridge smells like something has crawled in and died
So far - I have established its the fridge (smells strongest when opened), nothing is off in it, there is no drain hole so nothing in that, no spills, and it's cold enough. Have tried a bowl of bicarb
Help?

I had this last year and tried various things with no result. What worked for me was:

Empty entire fridge
Buy cheap real coffee - grounds.
Make up coffee - whole bag - and put a bowl of coffee on every shelf.
Leave for a day.
Strain the coffee and keep the grounds - put the grounds back in in a bowl. Leave for another day.
You can turn fridge on or off but some fridges smell if there is an electrical problem so I turned mine off.
I never thought it would work - was on verge of buying new fridge.

I don't know who Kim and Aggie are but glad they agree with me

I just had a smelly fridge, took me ages to see on the white base, that it was spilt milk.

goodasitgets · 16/09/2013 23:32

I have coffee. Definitely no spilt milk, I've scrubbed the bloody thing so many times I was about to resort to bleach!

Yep, I had scrubbed mine and used bleach too. And done all the seals. What fridge is it? Wonder if its the same one?
