Does vinegar go off?

Having a clear out in my pantry (obviously long overdue) and have found a lovely stoneware bottle, still sealed, of Suffolk cider vinegar. The date on the bottom says Oct 2001! It's older than my kids! Would it still be ok to use, do you think?

I'd decant it into a clear bottle and see how much "growth" there is in it! If it looks pretty clear, I'd use it, it's not something that really goes off, just goes funny!

Thank you, will have a look at it. I am tempted to keep the bottle as it's really pretty, but I am supposed to be de cluttering!

It won't be off as in dangerous, I wouldn't think, as it's too acidic for mould/bacteria to grow. Does it smell OK? If so, try a bit on your tongue.
