Bluebottles!

Our food recycling bins was infested with maggots yesterday and sure enough, I've just now seen some bluebottles.

Dustmen come tomorrow morning to empty the bin.
How can i kill off any remaining maggots and any bluebottles please?

buy some bin buddy. you sprinkle it in and it kills off anything and smells good too. we have same problem and it works in our bins. about £3.99 for a tub in homebase

We've all had them around here too last week. I killed most of them with boiling water, bin was half full of waste, then killed the rest with salt. After the bin had been emptied I hosed it out, hopefully gone for another year.
