Anyone have nice ideas for storing the zillion cars we are rapidly accumulating? (Apart from chucking them all into a box!)

How about nice cotton drawstring bags hung from hooks? You can get them made with different pictures on.

PigletJohn · 07/09/2013 16:06

I was thinking small drawers.

if they are chucked into a box or bag they will get chipped, scratched and damaged. this might lead to demand for more.

Annoyingly my phone won't copy and paste links but if you go to www.pinterest.com and type in toy car storage ideas there are a tonne of great ideas.

Are diecast the metal ones? If so how about them magnetic strips that you use for knives

Can't do a clicky link but I think it would look ace on a plain wall and might encourage tidying up

diecast is a zinc alloy and will not stick to a magnet Sad

GlitterFingers · 09/09/2013 22:54

Argh well that's ruined that plan Sad

DS1 got a big toy lorry, which opens up on both sides & has compartments in it which will fit the normal sized cars like this (but DS' wasn't Cars brand)

RueDeWakening · 18/09/2013 10:12

I'm planning on making DS1 one of these for the umpty squillion hot wheels cars that are taking over our house...

BrownSauceSandwich · 19/09/2013 16:49

I wonder if they'd fit in one of these sorts of boxes...
