How on earth do you keep white shirts white? DH wears one each day for work. I currently use Bold 2 in 1 tablet-things (3 as we're in a hard water area) but it doesn't shift the neck/sleave grime nor do they look that lovely bright white.
Thank you in anticipation of some wonderous product! Smile

Vanish - the lipstick type stick is better than the gel / spray etc.

Wet stain, rub Vanish on, scrub with nailbrush, fling in machine.
I use Persil non-bio, one tablet only (and we're in a hard water area) - would use biological if I could get away with it but DH doesn't like the smell. Don't use any fabric conditioners either (smell again).

An only wash whites with whites - not even with light colours. Dry in sun.

If all else fails, capful of bleach in sink of water overnight, rinse and sling in machine in morning.

Thanks Mrs B - I'm going to try all you've suggested. Using only one tablet has to be more cost effective too. Are you sure the capful of bleach won't weaken the fabric of the shirts?

Oh, should've mentioned only bleach if 100% cotton else they melt. Don't do it every time, just on evil ones that Vanish has failed on.

Don't take my word as law though - try the Vanish and white-only washes and see how you go. I picked up the one-tablet tip off MN, and tbh things seem just as clean. Do use two for serious mud / oil etc though.
They're not always perfect - DH's evening shirt always needs two washes even with Vanish - think the wing collar means it spends more time rubbing on sweaty skin (ewww).

Buy Tesco Savers ones for £3 each and replace monthly?
