If you could choose any washing machine what one would you buy?

It's an integrated model, napkin - Siemens wi14s440gb, but no longer available.

I've ordered this Bosch Logixx instead. Horribly expensive, in my opinion, but DH is fed up with fixing the Hotpoint.

He reckons that Siemens do more expensive models, but at the £700 price point Siemens and Bosch should be very similar. Hope that helps!

Update: the machine arrived on Saturday, and DH is really pleased with the features. It'll be much easier for him to repair - and shouldn't need as much attention as the old Hotpoint.

It's got an excellent range of programmes, and you can tweak the temperature and spin speed for each. The 15 minute quick wash will be useful.

And what's more, it came with a "Pregnancy Test Kit" - to test the water hardness!

I have an LG. It is brilliant. Got it from John Lewis so have a 5 year guarantee but the motor is guaranteed for 10 years. It's really fab. And plays a jaunty tune when your washing's done!

I have a basic Bosch Classixx 1200 - it was the cheapest Bosch I could get. Has been going strong for six years and used almost daily. Only negative thing is the loud beeping it does at the end of the cycle!

A washing machine repair man told my mum to buy a Beko as they were the best. She loves hers although you need to put it on quick wash setting or else it takes forever.

I replaced my Bosch Logixx with Samsung eco bubble 12kg and I love it :)
