Quarry tiled floor

We moved into a house with quarry tiles last November. They are almost throughout the entire groudfloor.
I was a little dubious at first - we have broken so many glasses and mugs on them. However, on balance, I like them. They seem to be very easy to keep clean.
I have never lived with them before. Does anyone have any tips?

no tips on the dropping-things front, sorry. I only have tiles in the porch and the conservatory where nothing breakable goes!

Have found the best stuff for cleaning them though but cannot remember what on earth it's called - it's Tile Klear or Tile Klean or something - in a clear bottle with a blue lid... leaves tiles shiny but not slippery and moisture etc beads up and doesn't soak in

Tescos etc stock it, just mops on.
