Obviously an artistic act but one I would like to remove!

Anyone know best method

try some wipes (the ones you use to change nappies). they have something in them that removes crayon from plasma screens (!), so expect it will work for your cot

Microfibre cloth? Might work.

I find jif can get most things off if you rub firmly - might take the varnish off a bit but if only in patches would look alright, I think.

Otherwise try one of those magic spongey type things. Can't remember the name but they are white blocks of sponge and take anything off - very pricey though.

The Astonish cream stuff gets rid of everything I find. Slightly abrasive so would patch test first. John Lewis has it and you can often pick it up in Lloyds chemist for some reason.

kitchen roll and some lavender essential oil has worked on the crayon scribble on DS's wooden high chair

WD40 I believe is meant to be good.

Although not if it's unfinished wood...

Used Pampers Sensitive wipes - it took a bit of scru bbing but got it off. I made dd aged 2 - the culprit clean it with me. It took an hour and she must have said at least 8 times. 'I won't do this again will I mummy' ahhhh

she'd better not!

If it's crayon heating it with hairdryer will soften it. Rub along direction of grain with those green or red cloth cloths suoermarkets sell. LIke Jeyes clothes?

Works for me.
