I bought a mop that you can squeeze most of the water out. Its not a good idea to soak the floor as the water will seep between the flooring causing to bubble.

Mine did go it a little bit funny when I got it too wet, seemed to rise up a bit.

I bought one of them flash power mops and they seem to be a lot better as they don't emit much fluid and polish at the same time.

the wood should be protected but just sweeping it should be ok

I thought laminate wasnt actually wood. I mop mine every day and it's fine.

Best to use a very wrung out mop. Or even those laminate/wood floor sprays and just mop it off.

The water seeps into the edges of the wood otherwise and knackers it.
