How to stop new school jumpers shedding?

Ds is starting reception and I'm very new to all this!

How can I stop his school sweatshirts leaving maroon fluff all over his white polo shirts?

And if they do shed, how can I get it off the white polo shirt again?

Any suggestions gratefully received! :)

Put them in the washing machine inside out, doesn't 100% solve the problem but it significantly reduced.

That is the jumpers before he wears them, for the fluffed shirts just brush them before you wash. them
