Soap scum in bath

I've just moved and the avocado enamel bath has years of soup scum. The previous owners used jif but that just left the bath gritty, I've been using viakal (v. hard water) and a metal scourer and I've got about 1/10 looking less white after an hour.

Is there anything different I should use ?

(This is while we'll put a white suite in some day)

Thanks

Cilit bang active foam brought my yucky sink and bath up gleaming ! Was sceptical but it really worked SmileGrin

I've not tried cilit as the marketing is crazy but a personal recommendation changes everything ! Thanks

I have a day of cleaning ahead. Who knew a bannister could get so sticky ?

Could you fill the bath up with hot water, chuck a few cups of bio washing powder under the running water and then leave it to soak overnight!

Soap scums going to be the fat in the soap plus human skin grease and skin isn't bio? Bio might eat through it

Dear Bonkerz

I'm now your biggest fan ! It took half a can but now most of the bath is clean. Do you have more nuggets of wisdom ?

Fluffy I like your style. The thought of returning to a cold bath of human fat not so much. But I may give it a whirl should I run out if the Magic Can

Only just found cilia bang myself lol I was desperate for a quick fix and it was on offer so decided to give it a try. Won't look back now. Definitely worth the price I reckon!
