And whilst on the subject of bins, can anyone recommend a good one? is it worth shelling out for a Brabantia as they are £££!

I have a 30 litre Simple Human butterfly bin. With 2 of us in the house, we use 2 bin bags a week (recycling glass, cans and newspapers, but not food waste, not much packaging as we cook most meals from scratch). It's lasted 8 years so far, still looks great and parts all work perfectly.

I think Brabantia and Simple Human bins are totally worth the extra money.

I had the 50L brabantia until last week when the lid broke! It was about 6 years old. I have swapped it for a 30L Simple Human one. I didn't want one as big as it takes too long to fill it and sometimes gets smelly

Thanks all. I've ordered a lovely Simple Human one
