keep finding beetles, freaking out :(

Hey,
We've just moved into our new home which has been empty for 5 months, but the previous tenant was reluctant to do anything but sit and make the flat yellow with fags. Problem is I keep getting beetles up through the floorboards and I don't know what to do about them. Downstairs was sprayed for an infestation before but I doubt here was. We've been here for a few days now and we are finding less of them but I'm getting really worried about it. I've got 2 babies aswell so don't even know how it could be fixed.

Contact your local council, they should be able to send someone out to put something down to get rid of them, I had a similar issue in a rented place once and had to do the same, it wasn't expensive

Thanks, it's a council place we've moved into but have lost faith in them recently, will call first thing Monday morning. Do you know if they're able to do it when there's children in the house?
