Stain remover to clean really grubby fabric covered dining chairs

My dining chairs are covered with a light coloured material which is now really grubby. We have had them professionally cleaned before and need to do so again but I just wondered if anyone could recommend an effective stain remover that will get them at least looking better. They are old and we plan to replace them but are having a get together and would like them to look presentable for that. Would bleach work, not bothered if the colour changes as long as they look cleaner.

Not sure what stain remover to recommend but what we did was buy a few yards of material (and you can get upholstery offcuts from fabric stores cheaply) and staple gunned them on. Very inexpensive and you can ring the changes with new fabric. I once upholstered some kitchen chairs in those french striped linen tea towels and they looked great. Loads of compliments. My DS's old nursery chair was covered in a terry towelling and that was very practical.

1001 foam worked on the arms of dhs (then dp) lemon yellow (wtf he chose those I have no idea) sofas.

Or you could try a steam cleaner, they seen to work on everything! Bathroom tiles are my favourite at the moment!

I am lazy so I unscrew the base, bung in dishwasher and stick outside to dry.
No scrubbing, no effort and come up lovely and clean.

My husband moans but I just wait till he is out!

Funnily enough I've just talked about cleaning a tub chair that's light material.

I did a makeshift fitted cover for it but am liking the stapling idea if I can't get it clean? The cover I made isn't very good tbh.

Lots of good ideas thank you very much everyone, will see if I can unscrew the base or if not cover with material.
