Got ours from Ikea, but didn't like their magnets, so got those from sainsburys.

I suspected Ikea was the answer, mrm, but don't drive, have new baby, prospects of getting to ikea = nil!

I know.. I hate going on the bus with both kids, but sometimes cant help myself!Esp with Tesco Extra next door!

dubnobasswithmyheadman · 12/06/2006 10:16

in fact I might order one now !

krabbiepatty · 12/06/2006 10:18

Wow that is genius, dubnobasss, a whole site of message boards. My fear with ikea, mrm, is that one will run one way, another another way and baby and I will be left sobbing in the frozen meatballs...

I use Ikea as a training ground for ds1... its very quiet on weekdays. Gets a reward for coming to heel! Wouldn't like to do it with two and the baby though Grin But I do take the double buggy, to strap him if he gets out ofhand, and he often falls asleep on the bus home!

Hmm, have pondered thsoe magnetic boards and am not sure. Then I look at them again and think "What's not to like?". "Would welcome any further suggestions anyway...

Tesco's do a magnetic board weekly display split down into days - I've had one for years - write on wipe off too so you can write on it and put notes at the bottom using a magnet. Bought those in home bargins.

bessie26 · 22/11/2011 19:19

A friend bought me this a couple of years ago, I'm still not organised enough to use it though!

I think I got mine from wilkinsons. Argos had a silver one earlier in the year too.

there are pricey but lovely ones www.notonthehighstreet.com/iloveretro/product/magnetic_world_map on this website

I went all the way to bloody Ikea to get one for DS2 the other day (DS1 likes doing writing practice on his so wanted to get one for ds2 as well) - they only had long thin ones with a sticker on with a pen with a line through ie only for magneting things to not for drawing one. Bah.
