Dyson handheld and battery life

I'm considering getting a Dyson handheld but have seen some reviews that said the battery lasts only 18 months.

I am loathe to spend £150 on something that's not going to last long but just wondered if this is not the norm.

I need a handheld of some form or another as much as I love my Henry, it's a pain having to get it out every day.

ive had my dyson hand held for about 2.5 years and it still works just as good

i have had mine 7 years and it still going strong

Mine lasted about 2 years nd now cuts out after about 15 seconds so can't use it for long periods... Was fab when worked... Shop around as other manufacturers have solutions.

Well I've taken the plunge and ordered one today. I had a Very voucher so got it cheaper than full price.

Sadly, I'm quite excited.

Mine is about 3yrs old and fine. I love it.

Mine's great, had it for about four or five years before I had to replace the rechargeable battery which I got from an Amazon seller. Working fine.

Do you mean how long does it last between charges/how long you can use it for in one go?

I don't know the answer, but am interested as in fed up on having to use the Hoover on the stairs!

Apologies for hijacking but what are the best models out there ?

I looked at Dyson but they seemed £££ (£150 sounds like a bargain so maybe a different model).

I have a full dyson which I hate so I'm not sure I really want another dyson (I can see DH's reaction now)

Thank you
