Wooden floor needs some TLC

We have a wooden floor which has been down in our kitchen/family room for nearly 10 years. It has been abused by toddlers toys and a cleaner who probably wet it too much when washing. Now it's abused by boys racing in and out of the garden with muddy feet and trainers!

It's quite scratched and has black marks on some parts of the wood. Please could someone recommend what I should do to help it. I was wondering if I should get it sanded etc. it's an oak floor which was stained by the builders to a slightly too goldeny colour of my liking!

Thanks
