Bed Sheets

I have a white duvet cover with four matching pillowcases. Pretty expensive- cost nearly £100. I have ruined it.

I put two of the pillowcases in with a coloured wash and they have gone a bit grey looking. Then I unexpectedly came on and when I went to bed that evening bled on the bed.

Can I rescue this?

If they're plain white then bleach products will work well. Vanish and stain devils are worth trying.

Just get some colour run remover from homebargains or the supermarket and soak it overnight.

Almost exactly the same thing just happened to me Blush. Use cold water to get as much of the blood out as possible (I used baby wipes but I was in a hurry!). Then I applied Vanish spray to the stain. Then did the whole wash at 40deg with a scoop of vanish powder in with the detergent. The blood has completely come out, and most of the greyness as well. I'm going to wash the duvet cover again (this was the bit that had gone grey) but I'm happy enough with the results already.

Unfortunatly I have already washed it and the blood has not come out... vanish will have to be my friend (I hope)

For future ref always treat and cold water soak blood stainsbefore washing in hot water. Preferably get it soaking in cold water immediately.

Now you want a got wash, bleach and hang in the sun to naturally fade the stains.
