Bathroom lino looks dirty

I moved into a rented house 5 months ago. The bathroom and kitchen have identical lino, about 3 years old, pale beige with a speckled pattern like tiny bits of stone.

The bathroom is a bit unfinished and there's nowhere to hang a shower curtain so the floor tends to get wet when someone has a shower (in the bath, using a shower attachment). So it gets mopped after 1 or 2 showers daily. Some obvious dirty marks have now appeared on the lino, mostly around the toilet which is at the end of the bath and also close to the bath side. It looks a bit like dirty newspaper print and I can't get it off. I think it must be because it gets wet a lot. There's no problem in the kitchen. Any ideas what this is and how to get it looking clean? I'm fairly sure no one is weeing on the floor! We also have soft water here if that's relevant.

Just to clarify, when I wrote "also close to the bath side" I meant the marks are also on the lino close to the bath side panel. So the marks aren't only around the toilet.

Not sure what the specific marks are, but we have similar-coloured lino in the bathroom and kitchen of our rented flat. We know it's quite a few years old and had dark marking like you say. It's not gone completely, it is much less noticeable since I sprayed some Cillit Bang (degreaser) on it. Nothing was changing with the mop and Flash and tbh I just picked up the Cillit Bang as it was there and thought I'd give it a shot. Certainly helped a lot!

I will try Fairy Power Spray next as it works so well on other marks.
