Help! How do i clean nickel kitchen tap which is water stained and dull?

It has got very dull indeed and stained. I've tried using viakal. Any tips on how to restore the sheen

nickel plate is a soft metal. Have you previously used anything abrasive? if you use a metal polish you will wear it away back to the brass.

The bathrrom cleaning sprays, and a sponge, are formulated to remove soap and scale deposits, best if you polish off with an old vest.

Nothing is as durable as chrome.
