Removing olive oil stain from clothes

I managed to spill olive oil on my new cotton top. I've tried handwashing it with washing up liquid but it didn't remove the stain. I've also tried washing it in the machine with vanish. Any other ideas please?

Try the Stain Devils one for oil & grease - works on just about any kind of stain I find.

Rub swarfega in it,let it work for a couple of hours, then wash with biological powder.

Cover it with talcum powder, it soaks the grease up.

it probably has a yellow stain now from oxidised oil. A long hot wash in strong powder is the best treatment I know, you can use a laundry spray first if it is for grease stains. Bleach will not work. Once the oik has oxidised in hardens into varnish and does not wash out easily. Fresh oil is easier but needs a lot of detergent or soap.
