Getting white cotton blouse white?

DD was given a beautiful embroidered white cotton blouse. However, she is three. So it lasted one wear. Obviously.

I ruined it by putting it in the machine I think. It is hand wash only - I didn't think to check. It just isn't white any more. Can I rescue it? It is really lovely!

Have you hung it out in the sunshine? Sunshine used to work on the most explosive poos on my DD's vests a treat!!!

It was in the sun, yes. Maybe not in full sunlight though. Ill try again.
