Any tips for cats using garden as a toilet?

Been out today and noticed that the neighbourhood cats have decided to use my garden as a toilet and there's multiple piles of poop, yuck!

Any tips for keeping them out of my garden or at least stopping them using it as a toilet?!

Thanks!

If you see them in the garden spray them with water to get rid.

You can buy tiger poo at the garden centre to get rid of cats

Put out bowls of cat food laced with rat poison.....they never come back.

I have the same problems. Cheeky cat was peering at me today from behind the conservatory. And it's a fat cat Hmm

I keep water ready to throw at the cat. Doesn't poo right by the back door any more at last and doesn't hurt someone's beloved family pest pet

Bottles of water dotted around the place keep them away. Trouble is, you then have a garden full of bottles of water.

Bits of plastic tubing that look like snakes work too.

My cat did this, I (mostly) solved the problem by digging out a litter tray sized hole in the corner so she now uses that. Easier to collect the poo from and I don't have to worry about the grass.

As this isn't your cat though you might not want to do that!

It's taken me years to get a child's water pistol, but when I remember to fill it, it does scare them off.
More relaxed arrangement is to plant twigs on bare, clean spaces to keep their bums off; can't usually be seen from house.

Thanks for responses, I had some empty plastic bottles lying around so I've used these for now - let's hope it makes a difference!
