Coffee soaked into car seats, help!

DH has managed to knock a full latte over on the front seat of the car. The seats are leather so the top has wiped clean but as it has soaked through the seats I imagine it will have soaked into the seat foam as well.

At present the car smells wonderful of coffee but as soon as the milk starts to turn its going to stink to high heaven.

Any suggestions other than throttling him? (already considered that one hehe)

Oh, and just to compound things....the seats are heated as well so chucking more liquid over them probably isn't going to work :(

Oh dear Sad

Well, there are some things to try.

A layer of bicarbonate of soda should help to soak it up and deodorise it. I appreciate it can't soak in like liquid can though.

After a couple of applications try saturating it with febreze or something antibacterial - it's the bacteria that causes the smell. Then you have to let that dry out. Open the windows if you can.

Following that, throttle DH Grin

Thanks Luis, will try those techniques tomorrow. I'm told the weather will be good so I can saturate it and let it dry.

Not sure the bicarb will do much now as the top leather of the seats is dry its just the internal foam which we can't get to thats wet.

Could kill him! Confused
