White painted 'cast iron' garden furniture

It's not cast iron but may be aluminium. It's painted white - a table and four chairs - old fashioned looking. I haven't painted it in a few years so it is looking grotty with a lot of green stuff on it. What is the quickest and EASIEST way to clean it please?I don't have a power washerHmm

I would think that an old washing up brush and hot soapy water - maybe with a dash of bleach to kill any algae?
I'd wear washing up gloves!

Cif and a washing up sponge. Then hose it down.

I've always used fairly soft brush from dustpan set and something biological in hot water - my rinsing aid is the watering-can (no hose).
