Glue stuck on painted wall

DS1 stuck some pictures on his newly painted wall using glue. (I know!) He has now ripped them off and some of the glue is left.

Is there anything I can do to salvage it or is it just a case of reprinting it all? Sad

what sort of glue, what sort of paint.

Prit Stick glue.

Not sure about the paint. Dulux Orchid White I think. Possibly Matt.

pritt softens with moisture, so if you repeatedly damp-sponge it will turn to slime and wipe away.

matt does not respond so well to cleaning as vinyl silk, it will probably go shiny and might come off.

Will give it a go. Thanks!
