Restoring a Bausen wooden floor

Hi, just wondering if there's a solution aside from contacting Bausen themselves.

The local company who supplied and fitted our engineered wood flooring have ceased trading as the owner retired and I can't trace the man who owned it. The floor is pinned and glued and two of the boards now look as though there isn't as much lacquer on them as on the rest of the floor. It's in a very noticeable part of the living room and I know the boards can't be taken up - the look slightly rougher and have sort of a greyish finish compared to the gorgeous chestnut colour they're meant to be.

Has anyone ever successfully treated a small area and got it to look the same as the rest or have you had success with professional flooring experts? The floor has a 20 year guarantee so I feel it's worth trying to get it put right.

Hope someone can help :) Tia
