Deep cleaning a wooden floor

We moved into our house 6 months ago and the oiled strip wooden floors always feel quite grimey. Does any one know a good product or way of deep cleaning a timber floor?
Thanks

Just to clarify, I do regularly mop it with an emop and also use the method wood cleaner on it. It just never feels really clean.

We sweep ours every day and use wood cleaner for untreated floors (normal wood cleaner strips the oil an makes it feel rough). Maybe you need to lightly sand and re-oil if you've stripped the oil off with the wrong cleaner?
