Red ink removal tips

dh had red biro leak in white shirt pocket . Any tips for removing the stain please ?

If it's cotton then try hairspray.

Thanks it certainly loosened the ink , and am now rewashing in hope the rest comes out but it was a really solid stain so not hopeful
